Our stormproof casement windows are manufactured using carefully selected timber options including Engineered Redwood, Accoya® and Red Grandis, allowing clients to choose the material best suited to their project and long term performance expectations.

Key features include engineered timber construction, a 69mm x 69mm frame section, concealed trickle vents, multi point espagnolette locking, Mega Egress and Easy Clean hinges capable of carrying 40kg opening lights, a durable three coat factory applied paint finish, double draught seals and 24mm double glazed units as standard. Part Q compliant glazing is also available, and the system can achieve U values as low as 1.3 W/m²K.

Standard glazing incorporates Low-E glass, argon filled cavities and black warm edge spacer bars, with laminated and toughened glass options available. Accoya® glazing beads and matching duplex bars enhance both appearance and performance.

Douglas & Peters uses advanced water based coating systems that allow the timber to breathe naturally while providing long lasting protection. We can match virtually any RAL, British Standard, Dulux or Farrow & Ball colour, with painted, stained and dual colour finishes available. A wide range of handles and ironmongery options is also available to complement the style of each project.
